Why
do we
serve?
We at PIHD are compelled
by our love for God
to do all we can
for God to get what he wants
The only thing the Bible says God treasures is his people, his children:
Children who love him just as he loves them,
AND who are devoted to serve him in his Kingdom.
Since so many whom God loves are far from him and don’t love him, we want to delight the Father’s heart by bringing as many as possible back to him.
The Need
- Very few have heard the Goodnews in a way that makes sense to them
- 1 in 8 children die from preventable conditions
- Most families earn less than $1000/year
- Functional literacy is under 25%
- 2/3 of female children are abused, almost half are married before 18
- 1 in 12 people 15 and older have HIV/AIDS, 1/3 are girls and young women age 15 to 24
