The following people were asked for a brief statement as to what God has done in their lives since they began to hear his word.
Chief Mr. Km: Violence
I thank God for sending Baba Charles to me to tell me God’s word. At that point my life began to change and I entered into God’s program which he has revealed in his word. Now my life is not shaken by the things of this world. Now God’s word has brought joy to my life. This is because I have changed. I was an angry violent man in my heart, but now I am doing well. I love each person as a though they are my relative – I love others as I love myself. This shows my life has changed. I live in reliance on God. Peace be unto you.
Chief Mrs. Lk: Anger
Peace be unto you. Truly all the time I was a bitterly angry person. If I spoke to my children once or twice and they didn’t answer me well I would just beat them. Now I am patient with my children and am raising them in the right way. I am not hasty with people. If my husband is angry I avoid responding in anger. I tell myself ‘this is my husband.’ But in the past I was a very troublesome person. I didn’t care to get advice from people to help solve problems; I just reacted however I wanted. But now that has all gone. Now I get advice whenever we have problems because I am submitted to God. I know God and he is directing me into the right way. God has put good thoughts in me, he’s put compassion in me, things that are important to God.
Mr. Ks: Adultery
I am thanking God. At the time I began to hear God’s word I was doing many evil things. I was just going with the ways of the world, committing adultery with many women. I was just dancing-dancing with meaningless things. But having heard God’s word, I left those things. Now I have a good marriage. Because of living right I was able to put a sheet metal roof on my house, have a big radio, a solar panel, I am able to charge cell phones. God has blessed me. Before I had nothing; I was wasting everything on sin because I was in darkness. Now, I am in the light of God. I am just thanking God. Peace be unto you.
Mr. Kl: Alcoholism
I want to thank God because I was an alcoholic. I didn’t care what anyone would say to me; I just did whatever I wanted. My marriage was not going well. But when I heard that baba Charles and baba Joel had come to tell people about God, God alone gave me the strength to meet with them so they would tell me God’s word – they are my parents. Now my life has changed. I have built a house which has a sheet metal roof. There is truly harmony in my marriage and I am friends with many people. Before I didn’t have any friends because I was drunk all the time. Now I don’t worry about anything, I ask God and am content with whatever he gives me.
